Order and cleanup

All list orders grows fast: three active lists create six orders; four create 24. Use it only when reordered phrases are natural, then review the output instead of publishing or bidding on every permutation.

Keyword combiner versus match type formatter

These are related but different jobs. A keyword combiner creates combinations from separate lists such as service × city. A match type formatter takes an existing keyword list and applies broad, phrase or exact syntax. This workbench supports both without forcing you to multiply a list just to reformat it.

How the combination count works

Fixed-order output is the Cartesian product of every active list. If List A has 2 modifiers, List B has 3 services and List C has 4 cities, the tool creates 2 × 3 × 4 = 24 base combinations. Enabling all list orders multiplies those combinations by the number of list orders: three lists have six possible orders, while four lists have 24.

Current Google Ads match type behavior

Match-type symbols do not force literal text matching. Broad match can reach related searches; phrase match can match searches that include the meaning of the keyword; exact match can match the same meaning or intent. Broader types include the reach of narrower types, so exporting all three types does not create three independent audiences. Choose a structure that fits the campaign and review actual search terms.

TypePaste syntaxEditor CSV valueImportant nuance
Broadrunning shoesBroadCan reach related searches and uses additional account signals.
Phrase"running shoes"PhraseCan reach searches containing the keyword’s meaning, not only the literal phrase.
Exact[running shoes]ExactProvides the most steering, but still includes same-meaning or same-intent searches.
NegativeSame wrapper rules in the negative-keyword destinationNegative broad, Negative phrase, or Negative exactNegative keywords behave differently and do not automatically cover the same close variants as positive keywords.

Google Ads Editor CSV export

The CSV export uses the English headers Campaign, Ad Group, Keyword and Keyword type. Google Ads Editor distinguishes keywords by campaign, ad group, keyword text and match type. Fill both destination fields before export, then use Account → Import in Editor. Review warnings and proposed changes before accepting or posting anything.

Why the tool warns about keywords over 10 words

Google’s current keyword-adding documentation states that a keyword can contain up to 10 words. The workbench keeps the row in your local output so it never silently deletes research, but flags it for correction before import.

Use combinations as candidates, not automatic landing pages

A multiplier proves that strings can be combined; it does not prove search demand, distinct intent or page value. Validate candidates in Keyword Planner and Search Console, group close variants, and create a page only when it can satisfy a genuinely different user need. Automatically publishing one thin page per city or phrase can produce doorway or scaled low-value content.

Privacy and limits

Keyword lists, campaign names and ad-group names remain in this browser tab. Analytics events contain only the tool action and result count. Output is capped at 50,000 rows to protect browser responsiveness. This utility formats data; it does not connect to a Google Ads account or make campaign changes.
